Scripture of the Day:  Matthew 5:14-16.  “‘You are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.’”

 

MEMBER BIRTHDAYS and ANNIVERSARIES

Happy birthday today to Shannon Foster and Jeff Campbell.  Remember these with blessings and best wishes.

 

Mancil Sims, Rex’s father, will be 92 on Thursday, May 7.  He loves the cards he gets from our Chase Park family.  Let’s shower him with 92 cards on his 92nd birthday.  His address:  Oxford Grand, Apt. 121, 8280 N. Tullis Ave., Kansas City, MO  64158.

TEAM MEETINGS

Two teams are scheduled to meet on Sunday mornings after bible classes in the dining room for a potluck meal with visitors invited. 

If church events or other circumstances prevent your team from having a meal or meeting, please notify your team through email or on Newsline.

Sunday, May 3: 

Teams #1, Blankenship, Wilhoite, and #8, McDonald, T. Rosenblum, will meet and have a potluck meal following bible classes.

Sunday, May 10 (Mother’s Day):

Teams #2, Lambrecht, and #7, Baran, J. Rosenblum, are scheduled to meet and have a meal

Sunday, May 17 (HS Senior Reception):

Teams #3, Clark, Dozier, and #6, Hill, McGee, are scheduled to meet and have a meal

Sunday, May 24 (Memorial Day wknd):

Teams #4, Emerson, Hastings, Karraker, and #5, Matheny, Olbricht, are scheduled to meet and have a meal

            There will be a 5:00 p.m. service at the Chase Park Building for anyone who is unable to make it to the park.
