What is Youth & Family Ministry?

A Youth and Family Ministry is one which seeks to help the entire family grow closer to God while growing closer together. Parents have the awesome responsibility of raising their children in the Lord (Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6; Ephesians 6:4). It is the goal of Chase Park’s Youth and Family Ministry to be a tool which can be used to help families accomplish this goal. Nobody knows their children like the parents do, which is one of the many reasons we seek to incorporate the entire family.

Our Focus & Goals

Upcoming Events

Getting To Heaven Together – If we fail at this, nothing else we do matters.

Growing A Stronger Relationship with God – The relationship we have with the Father will make or break us when it comes to our faithfulness. If we are going to remain faithful to God we must feel connected to Him. The connection with God that we seek comes through His word, prayer, service, and relationships with other Christians.

Connecting Others With Christ – Our Youth and Family Ministry cannot be only inward focused. We strive to reach out into our communities, schools, and work places in order to connect others with Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15).

Serving Christ While Serving Others – We strive to use our talents and abilities to serve Christ by serving those in need (Matthew 25:34-40)

What We Do

We are a very active group! Each month the Youth Group and their families have a calendar that is chock-full of fun and faith building activities. It would be impossible to list ever single activity that we are a part of but here is a small sampling of the things we do:

Monthly Devotionals In Member Homes – Our members host our teens once a month for a 7th – 12th grade devotional in their home.

Service Projects – We are always looking for opportunities to serve others.  We love to help our members as well as those in the community who might be in need.

Area-Wide Youth Devotionals – During the school year we participate with other local congregations in an area wide youth series on the second Sunday of each month. These are a great way for our teens to meet other Christian teens in the area and hear a lesson from God’s word geared directly towards them.

Evangelism University – Each January we head to Savannah, Tennessee for a weekend of classes, speakers, and activities geared towards learning how to spread the good news of Jesus.

Challenge Youth Conference – Every February our young people and their parents head to Pigeon Forge, TN with around 10,000 others to spend the weekend learning about God, growing their faith, and bonding with one another at CYC.

Mission Trips – We are a mission minded group of young people and parents.  We believe the great commission to be a literal command (because it is!). Our summer mission campaigns have included Oklahoma, Florida, Nevis, Peru, and more!
